Last week I received a bundle of chocolate goodies from Green and Blacks…
So I decided to bake something with the Milk Cooks’ Chocolate.
Chocolate Chip and Pecan Cookies
adapted from The Gracious Pantry
- 1/3 cup of cooked oats
- 3 tbsp of honey
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of whole wheat spelt flour
- 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
- 1/4 of chopped pecan nuts
Mix all of the ingredients together in a blender except the chocolate chips and pecan nuts in a food processor. Stir in the chocolate and pecans and spoon on to a non-stick baking tray. Bake for 20 minutes at gas mark 5.
These cookies would be great with some protein powder in them too. I really want to buy some protein powder, but I’m a little worried about the effects. I don’t want to look like this…
I’m really unsure about which ones to buy and need to do some research. I know that I want something natural and that contains very few ingredients…but which one???? I will make sure that I keep you posted about the choices I make and why.
