Hi everyone! I hope this week has been treating you well. I’m happily having another very productive week and getting lots of work related things done.
It’s been a case of my usual multi-tasking and juggling everything all at once but fingers crossed all going well by the end of next week I will be shot of my thesis, which will be one heavy ball and chain that I will be happy to see go. That’s going to free up so much of my time more more things like wedding planning.
For this week’s WIAW I’m going to back track to yesterday which was full of exciting stuff!
I work up early to make breakfast and get some thesis work done before our appointment with out wedding coordinator.
For breakfast I had a craving for some full fat Greek yoghurt so had some of that with some blackberries, strawberries and cherries and some of my Guilt-Free Ginger Bread Cookies taken straight from the freezer so they had that extra crunch.
Later that morning we headed out for our very exciting meeting:

The meeting went really well and we discussed how we want our reception venue to look, what features we want to bring into the wedding, timings, guest accommodation and we also had a look over some menu options for the wedding breakfast. It was so great to finally discuss these final details as the ideas have been floating around in my head for so long!
When we had finally finished it was time for lunch, which consisted of mixed salad leaves, left over roasted veggies, cucumber, basil tofu and a Food Doctor pitta pocket.
I had forgotten how good bail tofu tastes, it had been far too long! Alfie’s plantain that he cooked up for lunch was just too tempting to resist so I dived into some of that too.
In the afternoon I got some more thesis work done, but took a break to do a power yoga flow plus Yoga for Runners.
Post workout raspberry and banana smoothie, yum!
Dinner was the most delicious Buddha Bowl of brown rice, roasted strawberry balsamic vinegar chickpeas, broccoli, beet root and avocado.
Such a simple dish but so tasty, that’s what I love about Buddha bowls.
Later in the evening we cuddled up on the sofa for a night of TV, loving the Great British Bake Off right now! TV munchies was an old classic of chopped fruit including kiwi, peaches, a plum and grapes and topped with cookie dough ice cream. This took me back to the days where I had to put ice cream on chopped fruit to get Alfie to eat his fruit. It was such a treat!
More exciting news came earlier on in the day when I got a call from the bridal boutique where I got my dress from to tell me that my dress is now ready and has arrived at the shop! I text my mum immediately and we are going next Wednesday so I can be fitted. Also what I’m wearing under my dress arrived too, TMI perhaps but I’m never one not to share.
