I’m back! I have a little bit MIA in the blogging way of things as my little blog has been undergoing a major face lift.
So, welcome to the new and improved Celery and Cupcakes! I’m totally in love with the new design and layout. It definitely encapsulates ME more and expresses my personality and personal style. Pretty pastels, vintage florals, simple and clean lines, oh and cupcakes to boot!
I’m so chuffed with it!
It’s definitely a lot more cleaner and streamlined, which was one of the key elements that I wanted in the new design. You can also check out some of my posts by topic by clicking on the labels in the left side bar:
Cool right! I really wish I could take credit for this amazing transformation, but I can’t! However, I do know a girl who can…the very talented Jenny! She is a pure genius and extremely professional in what she does. I really loved working with her to help me make my dream look blog a reality. The girl did good! =)
This change has come at such the right time as my blog turns 2 later this month, so I thought I would treat it to a makeover- just ‘cos I’m generous like that! =) But there is more to this change as it represents the progression that I have made in my healthy living journey, which I have blogged about recently in previous posts:
Recent Realisations
I won’t go on too much about my change in direction as I think the previous posts say it all. This is the first time in my life that I can honestly say that I am happy with my body and fully embracing my curves. I’ve got junk in my trunk and very content with that. When I initially started this blog as a diary of my daily food intake, using hindsight I can see that there was still some restrictive eating going on a hidden mission to be slimmer.
In the present, things just are so far removed from the past it’s unreal! I’m now eating a wider variety of food, eating full fat ingredients, and there is no restricting or over eating going on either. My mind and my body seem to be the best of friends right now. In addition to that, my workout routine is far more relaxed with two rest days a week and I love it! I do a mix of gentle cardio, yoga and strength rather than the cardio focused plan of the past.
The previous tag line for Celery and Cupcakes:
…on a quest for that healthy balance!
My new header with an updated tag line to reflect a new me:
Finally the quest is over and I have found that healthy balance which works for me. In essence I feel so free and relieved!
The content of the blog is going to be exactly the same focusing on food, fitness, fashion and beauty and also lots more on my impending nuptials. I have so many exciting plans for this little blog and I cannot wait to get started, so watch this space.
Now please do excuse me as this very excited bride-to-be has to continue gluing ribbon and lace around her collection of glass jars…
And, no I haven’t gone mad and become a lunatic hoarder. The glassware is all for a DIY project for the wedding ~ more on my DIY projects in another post!
What do you think of the new look blog? Do you like it?
Have you ever change your clothes, hair, personal style or anything to reflect a change in direction/perspective?
