As a bride to be I am loving getting involved and planning my wedding, its so much fun! With all of our energy and money going towards the wedding I cannot remember the last time that I was able to treat myself a little.
As far as my wedding day outfits are concerned I’m pretty much sorted. I have picked a lovely dress for our rehearsal dinner the night before and of course my wedding dress is all sorted. All that was left to sort out was my going away outfit, which brides traditionally wear when they are leaving their guests to go on their honeymoon.

The very lovely Franky wrote a great piece on going away outfits on Love My Dress, which you can read here.
A little while a go I was contacted and offered to purchase and review something from Next. So with my going away outfit playing on my mind I headed to Next last Friday to see what they had to offer.
To be honest, Next is never really one my first stops when I go shopping, but I was very impressed with their new seasons collection. For my outfit I knew it had to be dress that screamed elegant, wasn’t too formal and it had to be blue.
I don’t know why, but I have been stuck on the colour blue for a while now and it seems to suit my complexion pretty well.
The first dress that suited the bill was the complete opposite of what I was looking for, but it was too late and I had fallen in love…
Multicoloured Dress
I just adore the floral print on this dress and the pop of colour. The shape of the dress is also very flattering, with the belted waist highlighting or creating curves. I think this dress will be perfect for our minimoon that we are planning after the wedding. You really could go any which way with accessories with this dress because of the different colours but I kept it simple with black stilettos and minimal jewelry.
The next dress that I tried was exactly what I was looking for and it was BLUE!
Kick Flare Dress
Yup! There’s my new Hamilton Tote, my naughty purchase from the weekend, love it! My bag matches up perfectly with the tan belt on the dress and my Paul Smith shoes which I was dying to wear at some point over the wedding weekend.
The blue of this dress is so pretty! I think it’s a cornflower blue and it looks great with tan accessories…perfect!
So I ended up doing that thing where you go into a shop looking for one dress and end up and walk out with 2…oooops! But personally I think it was money well spent as a love both dresses and think they are both timeless pieces that I will wear again and again.
Are you are regular shopper at Next? What do you think of their new season offerings?
Which dress do you like the most? Hopefully you are more decisive than me because I just couldn’t decided between them, ha!
