Before I became a mum, baby classes and playgroups seemed like a parallel universe to me. I’d never heard of some of the classes that we enrolled on once Aiden was born before and others completely took me by surprise.
From baby swimming classes, baby massage, music classes, playgroups, sing and sign, baby sensory we’ve tried so much and although they may seem like fun they are also extremely nurturing. It’s incredible how aware little ones are and I’m always taken a gasp how quickly Aiden started to pick things from these classes and how happy they made him.
We started our music classes from when he was 6 weeks old and these days he loves anything to do with music and singing. You usually hear Aiden before you see him and that’s because he’s usually singing one of his favourite nursery rhymes. Research has shown that babies find pleasure and laugh a lot to the sound of different noises ranging from laughter, the sound of your voice and even certain words like peekaboo. I know this to be true from my own experiences with my little boy, he would giggle at certain sounds at home or at his favourite music class.
C&G Baby Club has worked with psychologists, a team of mums and a professional songwriter to create the world’s first song made up of different sounds and melodies to make babies giggle with joy! This song is all part of the current #SoundofHappy campaign and you can watch the video at www.soundofhappy.com
What sounds made or makes your little one giggle with joy? What did you think of the song?
