February, you’ve been fantastic! While the year didn’t start out as well as I had anticipated, the last month has inspired me to be hopeful about the year ahead and what it has to bring.
In February, my word of the month was cherish, and I wanted to live up to it. Rather than struggling to cram all into my schedule, I prioritised and cherished spending time with my family and friends. Aiden is now so interactive and engaged in all that spending these special moments with him is essential; he’s growing at an incredible pace.
Allowing myself to take a step back to focus on my day has helped me realise that the simple moments, including the way my little guy smiles at me as he wakes up from his sleep, finding different ways to try, or seeing the sun fall across the fields on one of our long family walks, are what creates the most beautiful memories.
We’ve been for a few walks this month when the sun has been shining, and one afternoon we headed to this nearby breathtaking forest. It’s great to be out and about more in our neighbourhood, and I’m looking forward to the weather improving so we can do much more of it.
We eventually went out for a date night after Aiden was born after four months. While I do believe I dozed off in the theatre, it was fun to get out without our little one and spend some quality time with him.
I attempted to do two yoga sessions a week in Yoga Loving February, and I nearly succeeded, aside for one day when I was just too exhausted. This has been a lot of fun for me because it was something I could enjoy and it’s now part of my weekly workout schedule.
I was ecstatic to learn that my post on superfoods had been written in the Center Parcs Village Life magazine at the beginning of last month, and I was overjoyed to see my name in print. I also became a BRITA brand ambassador for their #betterwithBRITA initiative and guest posted on the Thorntons Chocolate site regarding keeping healthy lifestyle resolutions.
I’ve loved being inventive in the kitchen and posting my recipes, such as Gingerbread Almond Cookies, Chickpea Chilli Soup, Orange, Blueberry Vanilla Protein Pancakes, and Indian-Style Fish Curry With Lemon & Garlic Roasted Broccoli, on the web. If you haven’t already, go try them out!

March is already shaping up to be a fantastic month, with plans to complete my site makeover, treat myself to a “me” day, celebrate my first Mother’s Day, and celebrate my birthday at the end of the month. It’s a month of celebration for me, as well as the start of spring, which is such a lovely season. Since there is so much to look forward to in March, my word has to be ENJOY. I wish you all a fantastic month ahead!
